Blue Boat Milk Town Storming in Bariga Market

On Saturday 2nd February 2013 after lectures, I was passing through Bariga and noticed some activity within the market. On further inspection I saw it was a Blue Boat Milk Sales activation. They had about 15 young girls and guys moving from store to store to sell the product. There was a bus that had been fully branded and music was blaring from the speakers to attract attention from passerbys.

There were dancers who entertained the crowd with thrilling, funny and captivating dance steps; from Azonto to Ntigi to Alanta and Alingo. The Compeer was constantly dishing out different jokes. He also organized mini dancing competitions and different games. Winners got branded Blue Boat items.

I decided to speak to two of the sales force/promoters. Their names are Beauty & Sunday. They explained that they have been going from market to market to sell the product. They had been to Idi Oro in Lagos Island, Mushin market, Ikorodu market and Oshodi market. They still had other markets to visit within the next few days.

I also spoke to the supervisor Sola Akinjobi who further informed that it was a sales promotion for the brand to further promote the brand to the different markets across Lagos State and also to individuals.
